Tracey Rzepka MS, APRN specializes in medication management to help those suffering from Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia along with other mental health issues. She taylors the medication regimen to the clients symptoms and is good at remodeling medications when clients are on multiple medications.

Tracey helps people to attain health and wellness by  holistically  optimizing  the care and  well-being  of  each client. According to  the   World   Health  Organization, health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

It is well known that many physical illnesses have underlying psychological issues. Social and financial issues can also affect health and prevent people from attaining wellness. Tracey looks at the whole person and does not just prescribe medications. She is able to provide Christian counseling for those who desire. She does a small amount of counseling along with medication management. Bringing hope and healing.  Helping people to change their thinking from negative to positive.

Psychiatrist vs. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

While Psychiatrists do have a more extensive education, Nurse Practitioners generally spend more time with clients. Both can assess, diagnose, prescribe and treat clients.

Our initial appointments are one hour in length with follow up appointments generally 30 minutes long. This allows time for more thorough assessment and for counseling. Most psychiatrists in the Sarasota area are cash pay or work in large organizations. While, there are a few very good independent psychiatrists that do take insurance they are usually very busy and have nurse practitioners who work for them.

We have a small, very quiet office. Debbie Singletary has been the receptionist for several years and tries to answer the phone so you do not have to wait for a call back. Call today if you need help. 941-870-7060.

What do Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners do? link to more information.

Insurance is accepted!

We accept Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United, Aetna, Cigna and most secondary insurances  Our private pay rates are very reasonable in comparison to other psychiatry practices in the area.

Forest Bathing

Thanks for visiting my website and taking a walk in the forest! I love taking morning walks. There is a small forest near my house and I love to visit this forest in the morning. I have seen a wonderful owl there one morning who came to say hi to me out of curiosity. He flew from a tree across a small creek to perch on a tree above my head and he looked straight at me with his wide open eyes. That image is forever imprinted on my mind. I see rabbits, squirrels and wonderful flowers on the way to the forest where I breath in the forest air.

Being in nature is very healing. There have even been studies done on Forest Bathing and how it can be good for our health. Walking is great. Being out in nature is awesome. If you go out in the early morning (before 7am is my favorite time) the early morning light will reset your body clock and help you sleep at night.

Thank you for visiting and taking a walk in my forest today. You are welcome to visit anytime!
